Capital Genetics announces arrival of Lisheen Wagyu and Yatarna Highland cattle straws

Capital Genetics is proud to announce the recent arrival of Lisheen Wagyu and Yatarna Highland Cattle genetics to our facility, making frozen straws readily accessible to breeders in the region!

Lisheen is no stranger to the wagyu world having commenced operations in 1995 near the Macedon Rangers, Victoria. Careful consideration and use of pedigrees and Japanese prefectural bloodlines over the decades have resulted in a number of standout sires, many of which are now highly revered in Germany, the UK and USA. Known for their fertility, milk, growth, disposition and marbling, Lisheen sires N23, P26, S10 and Q39 are amongst the wagyu line up now available at Capital Genetics.

‘Monty’ as he is affectionally known needs no introduction to Highland cattle enthusiasts! Sporting some of the finest US and Canadian bloodlines, Mont Blanc of Yatarna (AHSC 9539) is free of all known genetic conditions (including NT821) and injects size, a balanced frame and the desirable thick neck into his progeny. Currently sitting on a 95% heifer rate for the 2025 breed season and AI accredited, Monty is currently available at Capital Genetics. Straws are limited so be quick!
